Mr. Cunningham's Class Wiki

We are about to begin an exciting year during which you will have the opportunity to explore many new ideas in unique and creative ways.
One tool that we will be using to enhance your learning experience is this wiki.
Throughout the year you will be utilizing wiki, diigo, and dropbox technology to:

1. explore and share resource materials
2. organize your daily and weekly projects in a common place
3. post classwork and projects
4. view the work of your peers and support them through peer critiques and social networking
5. publish your work individually and in a variety of groups on your own wiki page

Our class activities will include:

1. familiarizing ourselves with what the wiki looks like and how to navigate it
2. setting up accounts in wiki, dropbox, and diigo so that you can begin to work with the tools they offer to enhance your learning
3. learning to effectively navigate and utilize the wiki, dropbox, and diigo sites
4. incorporating the use of wiki, dropbox, and diigo as part of our daily classroom routine

Helpful hints when working with this new technology:

1. don't be afraid to ask for help if you don't understand
2. take time to get comfortable with the new technology before trying to use it in a major project
3. make sure that you are aware of copyrights and privileges before you publish anything
4. IMPORTANT NOTE: these sites are public sites viewable by anyone online do not use your full name or give any personal information on your page, use the name that you have been assigned in your wiki folder
5. take time to use the HELP menu when working from home
